ReStructure Mix Update (11/11/20) “Save Me” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Say When!
Say When! Is Elvira Valentine and Ingrid Simons a dance group duo who released several singles in the late 80’s. “Save Me” is a house/synth-pop dance track released in 1987 and was produced by Fluitsma & Van Tijn. This one became one of the most played new releases of 1987 in m club thanks to its driving rhythm and sweet vocal melodies which lead eventually to a chorus that is uplifting. The drums and bass beats are deep and infectious and are an instant magnet for the feet. This one always brings me back to the essentials of dance music which is always played out in the manner this song displays – slick and a work out to dance to.
I have taken the 12” version of “Save Me” and recreated a new arrangement and flow for this ReStructure Mix. The energy flows more consistently and there are a few sampled pieces of an 80’s dance hit to remind us of the moments that were great of the time.
