REISSUE: “Evolution” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Giorgio Moroder

REISSUE: “Evolution” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Giorgio Moroder Giorgio Moroder is the man who brought disco music into the light. His talent was a unique presence in the mid-70’s when most of his success came naturally as he experimented with electronic sound and transformed rhythmic sessions into intriguing dance music. His work with moog synthesizers and various keyboard arrangements gave his music a futuristic aura which was innovative and adventurous to dance along with. “Evolution” is a piece from his disco-fied soundtrack to the television show “Battlestar Galactica” released in 1978. The track stretches across one full side of B into a 15 minute passage of laid back rhythms with his electronic touches. It is truly one of difference to his work where sequencers are the foundation for the groove. I have taken Moroder’s “Evolution” from the album and transformed parts of the movement into a true “evolution” of his music genius. Taking pieces of some of his classic solo work and Donna Summer masterpieces into the mix. More of the flavor plays into the blend of track which works to create the Moroder tribute he deserves.
