REISSUE: “Love Attack” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Tony Caso

REISSUE: “Love Attack” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Tony Caso Tony Caso is a vocalist known as many voices in Bobby Orlando projects – including Waterfront Home, One-Two-Three and Hotline. During the shift to electronic dance music in the early 80’s Orlando made his mark with productions which stood out on dance floors from Divine and The Flirts. The new underground sound was accepted as if a return to the club haven was beginning all over again. “Love Attack” from 1987 is again a parody of a percussion driven sound he created in the early 80’s. A fast moving vehicle for a return to the extended disco break with vocals. Tony’s vocals are more evident in this take as I see it, of Ferrara’s disco classic by the same name from 1979 – which I am assuming is the all-powerful disco enchantment to lure dancers in a frenzy of desire. In all good fun this one is one of the many Orlando releases which made his sound a major element of the 80’s high energy movement. I have taken the 12” vocal and dub of “Love Attack” and reworked a HI-NRG ReStructure Mix into a new recipe. It pays more attention to those rolling bass synths that Bobby laid out for us to follow and again, the heavy percussion that gives the hips a workout!
