REISSUE: “Do It At The Disco” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Gary’s Gang

REISSUE: “Do It At The Disco” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Gary’s Gang Gary’s Gang is Gary Turnier, Eric Matthew (later producing Sharon Redd and Fast Radio), Jay Leon, Bob Forman, Rino Minetti, Al Lauricella and Bill Catalano. Their huge disco hit “Keep on Dancing” from 1978 made the band a permanent sound on dance floors everywhere. “Do It At The Disco” is another dynamite single from the group and features a Latin-Salsa feel with their strong percussion layout and “party” attitude. It was one of the fast moving energy tracks which helped to bring disco music to life not only in the fast growing club circuit but also radio stations that began to experiment with the successful disco format. A great piece to remember the band for and also one of the classics which give the period it deserved memory. I have taken the album version of “Do It At The Disco” a new overhaul for this ReStructure Mix and have utilized the Salsa elements more to the extreme. The Latin percussion is extended to bring more power to the message which holds out till the fade.
