REISSUE: “Let Yourself Go” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – T-Connection

REISSUE: “Let Yourself Go” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – T-Connection T-Connection is one of disco music’s great innovative bands from the mid-70’s. The band used a hardcore percussion section along with rocking guitars to create pounding disco numbers for the perfect soulful achievement. Their first big disco hit titled “Do What You Wanna Do” is a disco classic and has been covered several times. “Let Yourself Go” comes from the album “On Fire” from 1977 and is the sound of disco evolving from soul and funk to a hardcore disco arrangement. Their use of drums, percussions and at times whistles is one of the big assets. This band is probably one of the most original for their time. I have taken the 12” version of “Let Yourself Go” and recreated a ReStructure Mix using the great guitar break for more of the basis of the mix. The congas and bongos are also broken into segments for more of this celebration of freedom and music innovation.
