REISSUE: “I’m Ready For Love” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Melody Stewart

REISSUE: “I’m Ready For Love” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Melody Stewart Melody Stewart is a Canadian vocalist whose disco career began in 1980 with the help of producers Joe La Greca and Joe Marandola – her first album “Action Satisfaction” is one of the high energy sound beginning during the early 80’s. Another single from the album titled “Get Down, Get Down” is marked as another classic with DJs and dancers. The following year Melody’s single, a cover of Martha & The Vandellas 1966 soul classic “I’m Ready For Love” was released as a single produced by Bill Hill and John Farley. This single was a fine example of transposing a song from one genre to another with a new production sound. More of a mid-tempo early morning piece with much of the electronic effects that made the prior production with a studio group titled Hydro. This gem is one of my all-time favorite genres and singles in this style. I have taken the 12” version of Melody Stewart’s “I’m Ready For Love” along with the original and pieced a ReStructure Mix for a tribute to both. Melody’s wonderful yearning and sultry delivery give this number its mark and I have left it all intact but in new segments. A great Canadian release from the producers who saved the dance floors in the early 80’s.
