REISSUE: “Love Machine” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Thelma Houston Thelma Houston is a disco icon since her big dance floor hit “Don’t Leave Me This Way” from 1976. Her 1979 album “Ride The Rainbow” featured a cover of The Miracles 1975 hit “Love Machine”. Thelma takes the song into a new direction where she directs her awe at her man who seems to know how to work her in the right way. Produced by Hal Davis and tailored with a few new riffs to give this soul classic a disco face lift. I have taken the album version of Thelma’s “Love Machine” and reworked some of the elements for this ReStructure Mix. There are pieces of the original instrumental to give the mix a touch of the first experience – however, Thelma’s vocals are still the great part of this wonder.
