REISSUE: “The Force” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Nancy Nova

REISSUE: “The Force” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Nancy Nova Nancy Nova is a unique dance artist whose big club hit “The Force” from 1981 was a refreshing taste of experimental electronic music with a wonderful strange edge. It was another return to the innovation of disco music since the mid-70’s when Meco and Rhythm Heritage were disco-fying popular film and television soundtracks. In “The Force” Nancy brings here vocals into the memorizing sound of a 50’s sci-fi flick with a host of thumping rhythm guitars and a chorus of galactic aliens. One of the big “forces” of the club underground club scene of the early 80’s. I personally preferred this one as an after-hours introduction to a new set of dance music for the imagination however it works in many areas. I have taken the 12” version of “The Force” and realigned it with the 50’s sci-fi/horror film genre in this ReStructure Mix. I have added a dramatic intro from a soundtrack by Vic Mizzy and the adventure takes off from there. Nancy phrases the strange incantations of her new world of “The Force” once again and more mystery and excitement are evoked by orchestral drums. Hold on!
